First Point of Contact at Your Venue
Our operatives are polite, approachable and friendly which is very important, as the Door Staff are the first point of contact the patron has. The way in which the door staff behave and deal with your customers affects the mood inside and image of the venue.
Our Door Supervisors main role is to manage the access to the venue, screening entry to customers on a number of criteria:-
I.D, does the patron have the required I.D to prove they are over 18 (or age required by your venue)
Drugs, is the person impaired by drink or drugs, do they therefore pose a threat to other customers enjoyment of your venue.
Dress Code, is the person appropriately dressed for the rules of the venue. This may be as simple as no baseball hats or hoodys.
Door Supervisors will also monitor Numbers of patrons inside the venue. We now use digital counters giving an actual figure of patrons in the venue at any time. This is required by the Fire and Licensing Authorities in all venues.
We also monitor inside the venue for:
- Crowd density
- Violent or intimidating behaviour
- Fire exits, making sure they are all kept clear
- Bar Staff / Venue Managers, ensuring their safety at work
In Gwynedd and most areas of North Wales, PUBWATCH is in place. This system prevents repeat violent or problem patrons to be banned from all licensed premises for a given period. Corvus Security Ltd, fully supports and works with the Police and the Pubwatch scheme.
IF PATRONS ASSAULT / THREATEN MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OR VENUE STAFF A MEETING WILL BE HELD AND THE PATRON MAY BE PLACED ON PUBWATCH.
