Bangor’s Corvus Facilities (Corvus Security Ltd) appointed by Horizon to the Wylfa Newydd team.
Bangor-based Corvus Security Ltd. has been awarded the contract to manage and maintain Horizon Nuclear Power’s Wylfa Newydd site office, making them the latest in a number of local businesses to win work on the multi-billion pound project.
Under the contract, Corvus will provide total facilities management support at the Anglesey site office and will work with other local suppliers, including Anglesey-based Grays Waste Management Ltd, who will provide waste management and recycling services. Over 50 contracts have now been awarded to local companies, including work on the recent multi-million pound ground investigation programme at the site.
Daron Hodges, Horizon’s Wylfa Newydd Site Manager, said: “Corvus’ appointment is a further demonstration of the opportunities our project presents for local suppliers. We are pleased to welcome them into the team, drawing on their knowledge, experience and contacts with businesses in the area to keep the office running smoothly and efficiently.”
