The Level 2 National Certificate in Door Supervision
During your course you will cover four main sections:

- Behavioural Standards
- Civil and Criminal Laws
- Searching
- Arrest

- Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation
- Licensing Law
- Emergency Procedures
Unit 3
- Avoiding conflict and Reducing Personal Risk
- Defusing conflict
- Resolving and Learning from Conflict
- Applying Communication Skills and Conflict Management
Unit 4
Topics covered include:
- Positive alternatives to physical intervention
- Definitions and legal and professional implications
- Reducing the risk of harm
- Good practice following physical interventions
- Protecting self and others from assault
- Maybo’s SAFERpi principles and toolbox
- Reducing the risk of assault
You will take a multiple choice test on each section.
When you have passed the course and received your certificates, you can apply to the SIA (£220) if successful in your application, you will be issued with a door supervisor license, which must be renewed every three years.
